Our culture is closely connected with rivers and other water bodies. A dip in the waters of our holy rivers is considere most auspicious. Our Acharya Jagadguru Pujyashri Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal during His Yatras has bathed in all the punya nadhi teerthams from Sindhu in the North to Cauvery in the South, and Narmada to Gangasagar. His Holiness also graced the several Pushkarams , Kumbh Melas and other pujas and festivals held on the river banks. Age was no deterrent to His active participation.
