HH Pujyashri Jayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal blessed the World Conference on Religions held in the famous temple town of Tamilnadu – MADURAI in April, 1977. The King of Nepal participated with his family.
The Conference organised in Madurai was held with the noble aim of creating religious harmony among world religions. Representatives of Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Zoroastrianism, Ancient Greek and Egyptian religions, Confucianism, Zen Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Judaism and Jainism participated and shared their concepts and activities. Representatives from various Asian, European and African countries participated.
